About Laura Soares

Laura Soares was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She started a modeling career in her early teens and quickly became a popular Brazilian swimsuit model. Around 2005 Laura moved to the United States, initially in San Diego California where she attended college.

After college Laura moved to Los Angeles where she pursued her vision of running her own designer swimwear business. In 2006 Laura launched her own fashionable and premium swimwear collection (TheLSCollection.com). For her swimwear business, Laura researched and secured the required infrastructure in Brazil (operations, manufacturing, logistics) and started importing her swimwear collection into California. The Laura Soares collection can be found in boutique retailers in trendy Beverly Hills and the beach cities along the Southern Californian coast, Hawaii, and Miami Beach, Florida.

With her swimwear business running smoothly, today Laura is heavily focused on her modeling career and on expanding her repertoire to include acting and hosting. Laura has completed several training courses with reputable acting coaches in Hollywood, and she is very serious about continuously improving her acting and hosting (talk-show/reality show) skills.

Within just the last couple of years alone, Laura has been featured in numerous magazines (Maxim, OYE, DTM) national commercials (Korbel, Bud Lite, Golchin), national programs (HBO's George Lopez, entourage, Hispanic Lifestyle), music videos (Snoop Dog, Ebi, Enrique Iglesias), viral web videos (El coyote - > 2M views), and currently stars in a Brazilian television series about a group of Brazilian youths living in Los Angeles.

In her spare time Laura enjoys water sports (wake-boarding) and California beaches, as well as traveling in and outside the United States. Laura is an active participant in community-based social and educational programs within Los Angeles, particularly those that assist homeless and disadvantaged youth.
